Hard disks

Only the system drive (C:) and the disk Windows is on are watched. Other drives and disks, such as small data disks or USB disks, can be switched on per PC (PC → Health).

Windows Update policy

Maintenance window and what gets installed. PCs pick up changes with their next report.

Maintenance window

Installs, then restarts when needed. Logged-on users see a warning first; after the restart the PC continues (up to 3 rounds). A PC that is off during the window waits for the next one: it never installs on Monday morning.

Scope

Always installed

Never installed

Blocked updates

No PC installs these, even if Windows offers them. Microsoft's name is filled in from the PCs that were offered the update.

Latest approved Windows 11 version

Target for the per-PC "Upgrade" button. Until then every PC stays on the version it has.

Programs (after the Windows updates)

Add PCs

Install the agent once per PC; it updates itself afterwards.

  1. Download SiWo-RMM-Agent.msi (printers + Windows updates) or SiWo-RMM-PcAgent.msi (Windows updates only). Both already know this server.
  2. Easiest: right-click it on the PC, choose Install. The PC appears here within a minute; give it a location with Name & location.
  3. Silent / remote: fill in the location and run this as administrator:

The agent checks every 5 minutes and reports as soon as a printer is switched on, otherwise every 8 hours. Windows updates stay off until you switch them on for the PC. Uninstall from "Apps & features" like any program.
